The Book of Golden Deeds

The purpose of the Book of Golden Deeds is to recognize the good deeds of men and women in everyday life whose service to their fellowman might otherwise go unnoticed.  It has it bestowed contemporary honors upon worthy people and serves to document their accomplishments and thus to inspire future generations.  The Book of Golden Deeds is exclusively an Exchange Club Project. It originated in the Exchange Club of Huntington, Indiana, in 1917. The purpose of the Book of Golden Deeds is to recognize the good deeds of men and women in everyday life whose service to their fellowman might otherwise go unnoticed. Not only has it bestowed contemporary honors upon worthy people, but it serves to document their accomplishments as an inspiration to future generations.

The names of recipients and a record of their unselfish deeds have been permanently inscribed in the Book of Golden Deeds. The book is kept on public display so their lives will serve as a constant reminder that greatness comes first through humble service to others.
